NASUAD Seeks Senior Director of Business Acumen for Disability Community Based Organizations Center
The National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities (NASUAD) represents the nation’s 56 state and territorial agencies on aging and disabilities and supports visionary state leadership, the advancement of state systems innovation, and the articulation of national policies that support home and community based services for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
NASUAD is seeking a Senior Director to manage the Business Acumen for Disability Community Based Organizations Center. The Senior Director will have the responsibility for the overall programmatic and administrative functions of this new three-year federal grant. Key responsibilities will be coordination of partner agencies, leadership and management of the learning collaborative, coordination of technical assistance trainings and tools for the project, and establishing strong partnerships with integrated health plans.
The successful candidate will be college-educated (Masters preferred), and have strong leadership, written and oral communication skills, as well as analytical capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Coordination of partner agencies’ activities in support of the Center’s goals
Facilitation of required learning collaborative
Coordination and development of technical assistance and training tools
Management of the project’s budget and resources
Developing and maintaining relationships with health plans and other integrated health systems
Representing NASUAD and the Center at speaking events and conferences
Representing NASUAD before federal agencies
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s (preferred) in Public or Health Policy, Public Administration, Social Work or related field
Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple partners
Prior experience in disability policy, community organizations, and/or integrated health systems preferred.
Applicant is required to work in the DC office.
Prior experience running learning collaboratives a plus.
Superior verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Strong interpersonal communication skills.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities.

NASUAD Seeks Research Assistant/ Communications Assistant
The National Association of States United for Aging and Disabilities (NASUAD) represents the nation’s 56 state and territorial agencies on aging and disabilities and supports visionary state leadership, the advancement of state systems innovation, and the articulation of national policies that support home and community based services for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
NASUAD is seeking a Research Assistant/Communications Assistant to assist with multiple grant and project deliverables. Responsibilities include assisting to create online trainings, member communications and surveys, website and social media updates, and research and analysis of legislation/policies.
The successful candidate will be college graduate, and have strong written and oral communication skills and analytical capability. Knowledge of website and survey tools and an advanced understanding of Microsoft Excel.
Key Responsibilities
Update website and social media content
Build and maintain online state policy tracking tools
Develop and disseminate enewsletter, listserv, and other communications
Construct and distribute brief membership surveys and analyze the findings
Support senior staff with general research
Assist with conference and meeting planning tasks, including registration, marketing, and outreach
Work on special projects, as needed
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Public or Health Policy, Public Administration, Social Work or related field preferred
Superior verbal, oral, and written communication skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Familiarity and proficiency with computer systems, including word processing, database, and spreadsheet software
Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision making capabilities
Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Team player with the ability to take initiative and work well independently
